Peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre on February 3, 2017 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Betty (née Power). Loving father of Joël (Meghan) and Lisa (Ian Fischer). Proud Poppy to Zoë, Oscar, Samuel, Lucy, Justin and Madeleine. Dear brother of André (Floriane), Guylaine (André Sansoucy), Jean-Daniel (Nicole Morin), and Diane (Pierre Belley). Fond brother-in-law of Maureen Gillespie (John), Rose Huddy (Jim), Paula Power (Ed O'Brien), Peter Power (Jen), Joanne Power (Alex Fraser), and David Power. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Guy is predeceased by his parents; Marie-Louis Dutil and Marie-Jeanne (née Gagnon) and his brother-in-law, Bob Power.
Friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 10 in the Hall of Colours of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. (east of Vanier Parkway) Ottawa, after 1 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Sacred Space at 2 p.m. followed by interment with military honours at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces. Paisiblement au Centre de santé Élisabeth Bruyère le 3 février, 2017 à l’âge de 68 ans. Époux adoré de Betty (née Power) et père bien-aimé de Joël (Meghan) et Lisa (Ian Fischer). Fier Poppy à Zoë, Oscar, Samuel, Lucy, Justin et Madeleine. Il laisse également ses frères et sœurs; André (Floriane), Guylaine (André Sansoucy), Jean-Daniel (Nicole Morin) et Diane (Pierre Belley). Beau-frère adoré de Maureen Gillespie (John), Rose Huddy (Jim), Paula Power (Ed O’Brien), Peter Power (Jen), Joanne Power (Alex Fraser) et David Power ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Guy est prédécédé de ses parents; Marie-Louis Dutil et Marie-Jeanne (née Gagnon) et de son beau-frère, Bob Power.
Parents et amis sont invités à se rassembler en la Salle des Drapeaux du Centre commémoratif national Beechwood, 280 ave Beechwood (à l’est de prom. Vanier) Ottawa, le vendredi 10 février à compter de 13h. Le Service religieux aura lieu en l’Espace sacrée à 14h suivit de l’inhumation avec honneurs militaires au Cimetière national des Forces canadiennes. I am saddened by today's events yet grateful that I got to spend some quality time with Guy during the last few months.
I loved him like a brother and will miss him dearly.
