In Celebration of

George D. Dyson, BA, CD (WO Retired)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing on December 31, 2017 of George Dyson at the age of 69 while visiting family in Casselman, Ontario. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon (nee Lyle) and son, Scott and daughter-in-law Wrahnda. Dear brother of Angus and his wife Lynne and uncle to Kimberly, Christopher and Timothy. Cherished son of the late George and Elizabeth Dyson. Raised by his Aunt, the late Ethel Burns. He will be forever missed by his in-laws Fred, Margaret, Carolyn and Marilyn Lyle and extended family and friends. While serving 38 years in the military as a weatherman, George and his family were posted to a number of different bases and ships including Lahr, Germany, finally landing at their current home in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He was passionate for gardening, reading, photography and model trains. He volunteered with Scouts Canada for years in both Petawawa and Trenton, Ontario. Your memory will forever be in our hearts.

A Memorial Service and celebration of his life will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. Family and friends are invited to visit from 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
