Runge, Frederick Harry
Peacefully at the Glebe Centre, on Saturday, December 3rd in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Faye (Mansfield), loving dad to Brenda (Joe Reisman), David and Gordon (Cathy). Grandad to Jesse (Justin), Zachary, Harry, Nell and Hannah. Freddie was a printer’s son, having been a part of The Runge Press Ltd for over fifty years. From Norway Bay to Camp Fortune and of course The Ottawa Hunt Club, Fred had a good time!! Always in a good mood and fun to be with, he will be dearly missed by his family and many good friends. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Glebe Centre, who early on recognized and appreciated Dad's special charm. The family will receive friends at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Thursday, December 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s memory to the Ottawa Humane Society or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
