HAYES, Freda Elizabeth Margaret (nee Pepper)
Passed away on March 5, 2017, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Harold B. “Red” Hayes. Cherished mother of Suzan Fergus, grandmother and best friend of Jacob Fergus (Lyne Robichaud), great-grandmother to Noah. Dearest sister of Roger Pepper (Odette) and aunt to Brian (Cindy), Barry (Lianne), Lynne, Randy (Robyn) and Margo. Will be dearly remembered by her special friend Debbie. Predeceased by her brother Gordon Pepper, and sister Ruth Maundrell. Freda had relatives and friends who will miss her good humour and wit. Her favorite colour was purple. Rest in Peace Mom/Gran. Friends are invited to visit the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. (east of vanier Parkway) on Saturday March 11th, after 11 a.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Sacred Space at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.

My deepest condolences on the passing of your Mother. Losing a parent makes you feel like an orphan. Parents give us unconditional love. It's a big loss. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and sending lots of love and hugs your way.

Went to First Avenue Public School, Muchmore Public School,Hopewell Avenue Public School and Commerce Highschool when it was at Carling & Bronson (Glebe Collegiate now).
She love the Pepper boat "Ruth B" and would go on it every chance she could. Mom loved the water and the wind blowing in her hair. The stronger the wind, the better.
