Passed away suddenly on January 9, 2017 at age 78. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy "Debbie" Jetté (nee Akiwenzie). Loving father to Terri Harrison (Kevin), Steven, Wendy Lanouette (Jerry), André (Monica), Angèle, Miche (Hawi) and François (Kelly). Cherished Papa to Matthew, Eric, Joseph, Danielle, Ava, Noah, Lillian Grace and Dustin and Brenden. Survived by his dear brother Jean (Ida), sister Raymonde Thomas (Roger), brother-in-law Jean Girard, and sisters-in-law Sandra Lee, Julie Damm (Joe), and Annette Keeshig. Predeceased by parents, Eugène and Reina, sister Hélène, father-in-law, Joseph V. Akiwenzie, mother-in-law, (Olive) Irene Akiwenzie, brothers-in-law Giles Keeshig and Ken Lee, sister-in-law Lorene Akiwenzie, and son-in-law Bob Harrison. Also leaves behind many loving friends and relatives.

Visitation at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Beechwood's Sacred Space, followed by a reception. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation preferred.

Words cannot express one's pain at hearing of one's passing. The hope that François is reunited with his companion of many years and that together they will look over and protect the loved ones they leave behind to mourn them is but a small consolation. Prayers and hugs to all of you in these, yet again, difficult times.
