Farid Azzi passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the age of 73. Beloved husband to Wadad of 51 years. Loving father to Pierre (Konsuella), Paul (Paula), Michel (Josée). Proud and cherished grandfather to Alexandre, Nicholas, Mathieu and Frédéric. Dear brother to Marie (late Elias Wehbe) and Georgette (Nasser Nehme). Predeceased by his brothers George (late Edma), Joseph (late Marie) and Adib (Betty). Dear uncle to Gisèle, Noelle, Jazia and to many other nieces and nephews from overseas. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Karen Briggins, Dr. Chris MacEachern and the nursing staff of the Ottawa Hospital General Campus for the compassionate care provided to Farid for almost a year. The family will receive friends at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. (east of Vanier Parkway) on Monday August 1, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at St-Charbel Maronite Church, 245 Donald Street, Ottawa at 11 a.m. followed by interment and reception at Beechwood Cemetery. Memorial donations in Farid's name to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
