In Celebration of

Evelyn Eileen Waterhouse

February 23, 1947 -  April 8, 2018

Eileen passed away peacefully at home by the Madawaska River after a lengthy illness that she met with courage and dignity. Dearly loved and missed by her husband of 48 years Ken, daughter Tricia Clouse, son-in-law Chris Clouse, grandchildren Carson, Kennedy and Ryder; sisters Nancy (Keith Blackmur), Doreen Armstrong and Marion Armstrong. Predeceased by her parents Willard and Evelyn Armstrong (nee Gunter) of Jemseg, NB. Eileen was raised on a farm in New Brunswick where she learned the traits of hard work, selflessness and devotion to family, qualities she put to good use to create vibrant and loving homes as the Canadian Forces moved our family across Canada and Germany for over 20 years. In addition to banking and retail careers, with skill and determination Eileen kept the home fires burning during Ken's many absences. Tricia will always remember the remarkable Halloween costumes and elaborate Birthday parties created for her by Eileen. Although quiet by nature, Eileen readily made friends who unfailingly remarked on her Maritime sense of humour and remarkable memory for their family details. Eileen was especially happy and proud to watch the growth and accomplishments of her daughter and family. A celebration of Eileen's life will be held Saturday April 21st, 2018 from 1 – 3:00 PM at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON to which all our friends are invited. At Eileen's request a private burial will take place afterwards. In lieu of flowers donation to your favourite charity appreciated.
