In Celebration of

Eleanor A. Dunsmoor

August 8, 1937 -  June 1, 2018

Eleanor Annabel (McDonald) Dunsmoor passed away on June 1, 2018 at the Ottawa Heart Institute. Eleanor was in her 81st year. Devoted wife of the late Wayne Dunsmoor. Loving mother of Kim Dunsmoor-Lough and her husband, Greg, of Arnprior, Ontario, Kelvin Dunsmoor of Bracebridge, Ontario, Pamela Rogers and her husband, Jim, also of Bracebridge, and Dwight Dunsmoor and his wife, Jennifer, of Guelph, Ontario. Proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and another on the way. Dear sister of Renie Keating and her husband, Ross, of Rockland, Ontario and sister-in-law to Karen and Richard Collings of Mount Forest and Dale and Elsa Dunsmoor of Fergus, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, Russell McDonald and Inez (Reynolds) McDonald, and her brother, Mel McDonald. She will also be missed by her many special nieces and nephews.

Eleanor will be remembered as someone with a keen eye for fashion, home decor, and landscaping, for her love of the exquisite crystal chandelier that hung for years over her dining room table and the many pictures of songbirds that decorated her walls, for her delicious pies and cabbage rolls, and for her wonderful sense of humour and love of good company and conversation. Eleanor valued her many, long lasting friendships and was fiercely loyal to the people she cherished. Raising her children and being a part of her grandchildren's lives was her greatest achievement and the highlight of her life. She will be deeply missed and remain in our hearts forever.
