We are saddened to hear of Sam's passing but know that he is finally reunited with Dewy. I so enjoyed the many conversations with him about his time living in Vancouver - responding to the collapse of the 2nd Narrows Bridge (renamed Ironworkers Memorial Bridge), the Halifax Explosion, and other navy/military experiences. A true officer and a gentleman who lived a life most aspire to and few achieve - world travel, public service, raising an exceptional family, who in turn raised exceptional children who have that same sense of adventure - living around the world and making a difference. Much love to Doug, John & Kim, Jan & Pete, and the grand kids, as they say goodbye to their beloved father, and grandfather. We are sorry to miss the service but hope to join you next year as you celebrate his life and honour his memory. Dee & Marty
