Donald W. Easy

December 22, 1938 - November 16, 2018

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Don Easy at the age of 79, peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital surrounded by his family. He will be joining his loving wife, Anne that he has longed for over 20 years. Dear father of Melanie (Pierre), caring grandfather of Tristan and father figure for Chris. Survived by his siblings Marjory (late Walter) and Hope (Angelo). Predeceased by his parents, Edmond and Edna Easy, his siblings Harrold (Shirley), Ruth (late Charles), Vivian (late Arthur), Lois (late Louis), Joyce (Paul) and Douglas. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Longtime dedicated employee at J.L. Richards & Associates. Family and Friends may visit Beechwood Cemetery & Funeral Services at 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa on Monday, November 26 at 9:30 AM for visitation followed by funeral at 11 AM.

Mel, so sad to hear about the loss of your Dad. Don was dedicated to his family, friends and workplace. He will be sadly missed by all. Just to let you know that Don was referred to by my two kids as “Mr. Nice”.

Don always had a little twinkle in his eye. You knew that within moments of seeing him he would have a joke to share. Although he missed Anne terribly, he felt "lucky", as he once told me to be able to live with Melanie and Pierre, and Tristan was the brightest star in his sky. Fly on Angel's wings, Mr. Easy.

Uncle Don was one in a million, joking and telling stories with us right to the end.

Melanie, so very sad to hear of your Dad's passing. The world is just a little emptier without his ready smile and corny jokes. He made working at JLR fun!!

He and George are probably sitting on a bench reminiscing about the good old days at JLR.
