In Celebration of

Stavroula "Voula" Delis

January 16, 1967 -  July 16, 2017

Stavroula (Voula) Delis, age 50, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, July 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Voula was the daughter of Basiliki (Mouroukas) Delis and the late George Delis. Besides her mother, she leaves behind her brother Nicholas Delis, her sister-in-law Joanne (Koutroumanis) Delis, her niece Victoria Delis, her God-daughter Victoria Georgaras and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close loving friends.

Voula was an incredible person with an incredible spirit. Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. Voula wanted to share a beautiful saying to each of you “Someday when the pages of my life end, I know that you will be one of its most beautiful chapters”.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church at 1315 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 between 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Ottawa Hospital (General Campus). In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Monastere Vierge Marie La Consolatrice (Monastery of the Virgin Mary the Consolatory).

Voula.... my heart is soooo devastated right now knowing that you are gone! You were an amazing colleague/friend and I will miss you dearly! You were always so full of life and you fought this battle with all you could for years. You showed strength and courage through it all. You left this world too soon and I will forever cherish you in my heart. I hope you rest in peace my friend. You will never be forgotten! Love always, Alessandra xo

I had the pleasure to work Voula since she started at CHP for PHAC - Voula was an amazing person in a lot of ways - always smiling, patient, generous - in fact she was a sunshine and was already an Angel on earth. We had a lot of laugh together - Hope the pain will be replaced by the joy of nice souvenirs of her. My deepest sympathies to her friends and family

Voula,

your strength and faith in our loving God will always be and inspiration to us. May God give you rest and peace in a place where there is no pain, no sorrow or suffering but rather light and life eternal.

You will be missed
