Capt. (Ret'd) David Ian Paull

(Capt (Retired) The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada RHC)

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of David Paull, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in his 67th year. Devoted father to David, loving brother to Les (Louise), Jan (Eddy Melsbach) and loving uncle to Kelly Melsbach and Willem Melsbach.

Friends and Family are invited to visit at the Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave. on Saturday, October 27th from 1 p.m., until a Memorial in the Sacred Space at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces at 3 p.m.

Reception to follow at The Montgomery Legion, Branch 351, 330 Kent Street, Ottawa. All are welcome to attend.

Our sincere thanks to all the staff at Peter D. Clark for their care and love extended to David over these years.

I know not what to say! Every time I met Mr Paul he ALWAYS had kind words, a great smile, and an even better disposition for Pipers of the regiment. I will never forget his harsh raspy voice and his regimental demeanor. He was truly born to be a Sergent Major. Good man, great soul. Excellent brother in arms.

Davis was a larger than life kind of guy. He taught me a lot about life, and how to live it. I am grateful to have known David for a few years. My life was brightened hsving shared a few years getting to know him. Rest in peace soldier.
