RACETTE, Claudette (Paquette)

Passed away in Ottawa on March 31, 2017 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her mother Marie-Jeanne Cousineau, her father Théophile Paquette, her step-mother Espérance Perrier and her sisters Françoise and Thérèse. She will be missed by her son Charles, daughter-in-law Colleen Kemp, her grandson Daniel as well as her niece and nephews. Claudette had a successful career as Assistant Executive Director of the Canadian Law Information Council, Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice and retired in 2010 as Executive Director of the Uniform Law Conference of Canada.

A Celebration of Claudette’s Life will be held in the Sacred Space at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudette’s memory may be made to Hospice Care Ottawa, an outstanding non-profit organization that provides compassionate care to patients and their families on their end of life journey. They helped make Claudette’s final days peaceful and comfortable.
