With immense sadness, we announce the passing of Claire (Girard) Nantel, after a battle with Alzheimer and cancer. Predeceased by her loving husband Jean Gaston Nantel. She was a wonderful mother to Susie Nantel (son in law Gary Bertrand), and Stephane Nantel. Loving grandmother of Andrea Nantel and Sophie Nantel-Bertand (Christopher Authier), her cherished grandchildren. Claire will also be greatly missed by her sister Raymonde Fortin (late Jean Paul), her sister in law Marthe, many nieces, nephews, close friends and our family pets. Predeceased by her brothers Bertrand, Phillippe, Paul, Robert, Yvan and sister Gertrude.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the compassionate care givers of Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie who took such amazing care of her during her final weeks of life in palliative care.

Our family looks forward to welcoming friends and family for a celebration of her life at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Visitation begins at 9:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. The family will host a reception for family and friends immediately following the Celebration of Life at the same location.
