In Celebration of

Christine Romanko (nee Wright)

December 5, 1948 -  May 1, 2017

It is with deep regret that we announce Christine D. Romanko (nee Wright) has lost her battle with cancer. Born in Montreal (Dec. 5,1948) then moved to Ottawa after marrying (1978). Was predeceased by her father (Fredrick, WW2 Royal Sergeant Major) when she was 15 years of age, then her mother (Dorothy) about 12 years ago and her only sibling, her younger brother (Wayne) 8 years ago. She leaves behind only her sorrowful husband Ivan and much loved spaniel Sam who helped console her thru the loss of her mother and brother and the multiple operations, radiation therapy and chemo she had to endure and recover from. Should you wish to donate in her name, please contact The Ottawa Hospital Foundation: www.ohfoundation.ca/ways-donate or 613-761-4295).

I was so sad to hear of Christine's passing. However, I know she has battled her cancer for a long time, and I am glad she is free from her pain and suffering. I always enjoyed talking with Christine....she was such a great woman. My thoughts and prayers are with Christine's husband and her co-workers at Malmberg Truck Trailer. Rest in peace, Christine.
