Burton James Cooper

January 17, 1970 -  April 9, 2017

On April 9, 2017, at the age of 47, Burton peacefully passed away due to unexpected medical complications at the Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario. He is survived by his loving spouse Cathy Desabrais. His mother Nadia (Doug) Oksana Holmes (nee Hardock) and father Raymond Rankin Cooper (Lillian) of Pembroke, siblings Raymond, Bob (Lisa), Donna Hayes (Chris) and his nieces and nephews Dylan, Valerie, Richard, Suzanne, Shelby and Karly.

His family and friends will always remember Burton as a fun loving, helpful, caring and gentle person. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus, for the compassionate care they provided.

Friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) for a Celebration of Burt’s life on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10 a.m., followed by a Reception. Interment to take place, privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
