In Celebration of

Bernice MacDonald (née Woitowitz)

June 18, 1920 -  October 9, 2018

With heavy hearts we say good-bye to our dear Mom. She passed away peacefully of natural causes during a brief stay at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. She leaves her three loving children Glen, Blake and Brenda, her dear sister Helen Reid (Al), and many wonderful nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her dear sisters Emily Danielson (Baldur) and Ollie Anderson (Clyde). Bernice was a loving mother, faithful wife and devoted homemaker. She was bright and energetic, enjoying piano, art, handicrafts and playing bridge, as well as her child rearing, cooking and gardening. Her love of others led her to recognition as a volunteer helping seniors, and led her to be a long time contributor to charities supporting the world's neediest. She worked temporarily in retail and at the University of Ottawa library. Her strong faith sustained her - she was always cheerful, positive and outgoing in spite of immobilizing pain from a life long physical condition. Many who saw her as charming, sweet and unassuming will miss her. A family interment will be held.
