Anthony Davies

June 10, 1943 -  February 21, 2017

Anthony “Tony” Stephen Davies, age 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre. Born in England,Tony was a mechanical engineer, which brought him and his young family to Canada in 1975. Tony was known for his dry wit, even as he lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 20 years. Predeceased by his son Oliver, his father Kenneth, his mother Irene, and his nephew Andrew. Beloved husband of Barbara, father to Stephenie Davies (Jason Oehling) and Christine Davies (Matt Tomaszewski), granddad to Kyra, Ethan and Alia, and brother to Susan Davies. Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4-6 PM at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. The Commemoration of Life will be Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11 AM followed by a Reception from 12-2 PM at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ottawa or the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre are appreciated.

Sincere condolences at the loss of your husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Although the last few years were not easy, cherish the memories of the many happy times you had together.
