Passed away in Ottawa surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 2, 2018; age 54. Beloved wife of 35 years to Bajan Shankar. Loving mother of Annie Hebert (Christian), Amanda Cuddihy (Andrew), and Rejean Shankar (Chandini). Cherished grandmother of Ashanti, Isabella, Arianna, Aiden and Adeline. Caring sister of Shanta, Sundar (Narkally), Paul (Will), Dave (Shantie), Ram and Sunil (Cindy). Much loved Daughter of the late Winston Lalta Persaud and Satti Mohan Persaud. Daughter-in-law of the late Bhawanie Shankar and late Rookmin Shankar. Anjanie will also be sadly missed by her 39 nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, cousins and many friends.

The family will receive friends at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Beechwood’s Sacred Space. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation are appreciated by the family
