CHAN, Amy Miu Ching
December 17, 1953 - June 3, 2017

Passed away peacefully at Elizabeth Bruyère Hospital in Ottawa in the early morning of June 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband Raymond, sons Ricky (Qingyang) and Petrus, 5 sisters and 1 brother, and 9 nieces and nephews.

Amy was a cheerful, warm, and fun-loving person with a tremendous zest for life. She was a caring and loving mother, wife, sister and friend. She was outgoing and loved to be around her family and friends and loved to meet new people. Despite her illness, she was fearless, always ready to try new things and embark on new adventures. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Gertler and all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Ottawa General Hospital and Elizabeth Bruyère Hospital for all their incredible support and care over the past few years/days.

On Thursday, June 8, 2017, visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue (East of Vanier Pkwy), Ottawa, followed by a burial service at 1:00 p.m.

In memory of Amy, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
