Brennan, Aline Marie (née Galipeau)
January 16, 1933 - April 15, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aline on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving husband and four children. Beloved wife of Peter John Brennan, loving mother of John (Mary Bowles), Laura (Marc Paquet), Kathleen (Stephen Code) and Maggie (Denis St-Amour). Proud Grandmother to Joshua, Amanda (Mikael), Jolene and Raymond. She is predeceased by her parents Moïse Galipeau and Laura Grenier, formerly of Hull and her four brothers, Roland (Janette Desjardins) of Gatineau, Robert of Gatineau, Jean Paul (Murielle Jacques) of Gatineau, and Roger of Gatineau. She leaves three sisters, Madeline Galipeau of Gatineau, Claire (John Belair) of Edmonton and Héléne (Réal Dubé) of Ottawa. Dear Aunt of many nieces and nephews. In the 1950’s Aline completed her course as an auxiliary nurse and worked in Gravenhurst, ON, caring for TB patients. She then worked for many years at the old Ottawa General Hospital in the nursery, The Montfort Hospital, and finally went on to work at Le Pièta in Gatineau. She was an extraordinary nurse; a woman of great faith, compassionate and extremely generous, especially to the needy. Dearest Mother, we will remember the days when you dwelt on earth. Your tender love will now watch over us like a guardian angel. You have gone from us, but the bond which unites our souls can never be severed. Your image lives within our hearts. May the merciful Father reward you for the faithfulness you have shown. Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood, Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, from 7 to 9 o’clock Wednesday, April 19, and again from 9 o’clock until time of Funeral Service in the Sacred Space at 11:30 on Thursday, April 20. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre are appreciated.

This distance may be far but my heart and love are with you all. I enjoyed so many great time with you all, spaghetti dinners with a bib on was always the most memorable. We had good times, in Ottawa and in Victoria. Your home was like my second home, Aline was like my second mother. I will shed some more tears and I wish I could be there to show my love and support. So many great memories, I miss you all. Love Ron
